Syed Asim Ali
Partner
​Syed Asim Ali (Asim) is the founder of FACTALIS and also our Managing Partner. Asim founded FACTALIS with a vision to providing our clients the service experience that they can value as personal, customized to their needs and goes above and beyond our core value driver of superior technical accounting, taxation and risk advisory. Asim distinguishes himself with authenticity in his client interactions, a proactive and interested approach and passion to add value as your accounting and finance business partner. What client’s love and appreciate about Asim is the fact that in addition to being the thought and people leader for our firm, he is never shy being hands-on when there is a client service need and as required by the situation.

Asim possesses CPA and Chartered Accountant qualifications and is a highly accomplished and results-oriented leader with 16 years of global accounting and audit experiences. Asim has a proven track record of meeting challenging deadlines while managing geographically diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
Prior to founding FACTALIS, Asim briefly worked at a Consulting Firm as a Director in their Accounting Advisory team. Prior to which, Asim served as a Director of Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting and Deals at a private equity firm leading their IPOs, audit readiness, internal controls implementation and mergers, acquisitions and portfolio companies reorganization. Managed deal teams and addressed complex technical accounting and SEC reporting matters. Before that Asim was the Controller at a private equity backed pre-IPO technology (AI) company, which Asim successfully led to their prospectus filing with SEC.

Before that Asim was a Senior Manager in PwC New York’s audit practice, which Asim served for a period of 10 years in roles of increasing responsibility and gained experience of working with large and mid-sized publicly listed companies & not-for-profit organizations in Consumer & Industrial Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals sectors. In addition to being the manager and Senior Manager on multiple large publicly listed companies, Asim also worked on multiple M&A and Corporate Finance deals during his tenure with PwC which helped him develop a diverse skillset.
Asim started his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young, and worked with their audit practice in Middle East and Pakistan for a combined period of 5 years and gained experience of working with public & private companies and family owned businesses of varying sizes in Oil & Gas (E&P), Consumer and Industrial Manufacturing including automobile, Advertising & Media and Retail sectors.
